Enjoy Horseback Riding with Us
Located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains, Chattahoochee Stables is here to make your visit to Helen a unique and most memorable one. Our stables offer guided trail rides with horses that are in training year round to make your riding experience one to remember. We want you and your family to come out and ride; we even accommodate the little ones (children under five) by letting them ride with an adult in your party.

Our Rides
One-hour guided trail rides meander for 3.5 scenic miles through luscious valley and mountain scenery to include 1.5 miles along the beautiful Chattahoochee River. During our summer hours of operation we go right through the 'Hooch to make our ride the one and only "river ride." Trips go out every hour on the hour. Although reservations are not required, they are recommended and can be made by calling 706.878.7000.

Coming from Cleveland (129 N)
Turn off of 129 N on to 75 N coming towards Helen, go about 7 miles and take a right onto Hwy 17, go about 2.5 miles, turn right into Chattahoochee Stables.

Coming from Helen (75 N)
Come out of Helen going towards Cleveland, go about a mile out of Helen and turn left onto Hwy 17, go about 2.5 miles, turn right into Chattahoochee Stables.

Coming from Atlanta (I-85 to I-985)
Get on I-85 N, merge into I-985, go about 40 miles until the Helen-Unicoi State park exit and take a left (I-985 becomes 365/23 beyond Exit 24 near Gainesville). Then you will be on Duncan Bridge Road (384). Go until 384 dead ends into Hwy 75, take a right onto 75 N, go about a mile and take a right onto Hwy 17. Take a right onto Hwy 17, go about 2.5 miles, turn right into Chattahoochee Stables.
